Some Random Musings:
In the years gone by I've learnt,
life is queer with it's twists and turns,
a man looks with his wistful eyes,
as his inside burns.
I was a wanderer in time and space,
never knew when the race begun,
I frittered and wasted hours
I knew I missed the starting gun.
I woke up crying,
afraid to accept the truth,
my sight was dim,
thought this is my rebirth.
High above my head,
I saw the lustrous sky,
below my feet,
I felt the land hot and dry.
With every ounce of energy,
and every drop of sweat,
I started my work,
Time I wasted I had no regret.
I knew, more will I fail,
the more I cry,
mine will be the empire,
the harder I try.
I set my eyes onto this empire
and looked for the leading way,
now I was on this road of life,
with every pace I saw both love and strife.
People crossed my road,
while making their own,
friends I call them,
from the time unknown.
My road was laden with thorns
which ripped me apart,
ne'er I looked back,
but, continued toiling hard.
And when I was very near to the empire,
nothing could be heard or seen,
as if it could not be,
or, as if had not been.
Last thing I remember,
I was running towards it,
I lost all pain all affection,
as I saw my own reflection.
This poem I wrote when I was to leave for Chennai. I do not feel like giving it any title for the simple reason that anyone who reads it should not relate it with what I thought while writing it.
